Our son was diagnosed with autism and we felt lost. The MySpot team quickly identified his needs and a plan. After 2 years, we just celebrated a successful first day of school, which we never thought was possible.”

Questions you may have.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy is a scientific method of observing behavior, teaching new social skills and decreasing any maladaptive behavior in those with Autism Spectrum Disorder. ABA Therapy is typically sought for early interventions with young children. But older children and adults can also benefit from ABA therapy as well.
A BCBA oversees the treatment program. They conduct assessments and use the results to create a custom therapy plan. They also assess results from sessions and modify treatment plans to meet client goals. BCBAs have a master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and have spent at least 2000 hours as a therapist under qualified supervision.
An RBT works directly with the client in therapy. These ABA therapists put in place the behavior plans developed by the BCBA. They collect critical data and develop a relationship with the client and the family.
Families and guardians are an essential part of any ABA therapy program and need to be active in the treatment process. Family Coaching is a core part of what we do at MySpot. The focus of these meetings are twofold. One to help caregivers generalize the skills being worked on in session in the home and community environment and also to have conversations and support from the BCBA to work on goals important to the caregivers.
