The benefits for your child.

Improved Communication Skills:
Helps individuals better express their thoughts, needs, and feelings through words, gestures, or alternative communication methods. Enhances the ability to understand and process language, leading to better comprehension in conversations and learning environments.

Enhanced Social Skills:
Therapy can improve the ability to engage in conversations, understand social cues, and interact more effectively with others. As communication skills improve, individuals often experience a boost in self-esteem and confidence in social settings.

Early Intervention and Development:
For children, early speech-language therapy can address developmental delays, setting the foundation for successful communication skills as they grow. Early intervention can prevent more serious communication issues later in life, leading to better long-term outcomes.

Our daughter is now able to communicate with family and friends so much more easily. We couldn’t have asked for a more compassionate and supportive environment.”

Specialized degrees and certifications relevant to their field. Usually hold a Master’s or Doctorate degrees and are licensed by state boards. Experience may vary, but many therapists have several years of experience working with children and may have additional certifications or training in pediatric therapy.
A personalized treatment plan is usually developed after an initial evaluation where the therapist assesses your child’s specific needs, strengths, and areas for improvement utilizing stand testing. This plan includes goals and strategies tailored to your child’s developmental stage and specific challenges. Treatment plans are typically reviewed and updated every 6 months or as needed based on your child’s progress and any changes in their needs.
Progress is usually measured through regular assessments and evaluations that track your child’s development relative to their goals. Therapists may use standardized tests, observations, and parent feedback to measure progress. Updates are typically communicated through progress reports, meetings, and ongoing conversations with parents.
The authorization process involves obtaining approval from your insurance company for therapy services. This often requires submitting a request or a treatment plan detailing the necessity of therapy. The clinic’s administrative staff usually handles this process, but it’s a good idea to confirm with them how they manage authorization and what information they need from you.
